In the first quarter, RECON inked over $130,000,000 in contracts. These contracts are the culmination of more than a year´s worth of work by our management team. Specifically, the following contracts include:
TxDOT Contract — This Texas Department of Transportation contract is to supply Emergency Response and Remediation Services for Harris County and the surrounding counties on any TxDOT right-of-way. The two year, with two optional renewal periods (potential life of 6 years), contract has no ceiling. The value is based upon prior year´s spending, which could exceed $60,000,000 over the life of the contract.
Golden Pass LNG Contract — RECON teamed with Chicago Bridge and Iron (CB&I) to successfully pursue ExxonMobil´s Golden Pass LNG Project. RECON will be responsible for all site preparation activities, which include stabilization of 500,000 cubic yards of dredge spoils; grading 250 acres; construction of 10 miles of roadways; and other various site improvement tasks. The entire site is being constructed atop a former dredge pile. RECON was selected for this project because of our experience with stabilization of dredge spoil. The contract total for this 18 month project is $39,000,000.
E&P Remediation Contract — RECON was selected by a major oil company to complete this high-profile Exploration and Production site remediation. This $38,000,000 contract includes hauling and offsite disposal of more than 1,000,000 cubic yards of oil-impacted soil; sheet pile installation; dewatering; water treatment; clean overburden excavation; excavation; backfilling; and site restoration. The project is estimated to take 4 years.
Sabine Pass Contract — RECON has been working on the Sabine Pass project for almost a year. Expansion of the original design has resulted in our client adding over 1,200,000 cubic yards of stabilization; 2,000 linear feet of dike construction; 4,000,000 linear feet of wick drain installation; and 2,000 linear feet of French drain construction. Total contracts for RECON on this site already exceed $60,000,000 and are still growing.
Additional new contracts include the Standard Chlorine Superfund Site, and the Purity Oil Superfund Site.
